Credentials:
I am a member of the American Psychological Association, the California Psychological Association and the Los Angeles County Psychological Association. I have served as a subject matter expert in psychology for the California Board of Psychology.
I received my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with a health emphasis from the California School of Professional Psychology. My dissertation chair was Dr. Linda Beckman, and the title of my dissertation was ‘The relationship of perceived control and spirituality to psychological adjustment to chronic illness’.
My clinical experience includes an APA-accredited internship at the West Los Angeles Veterans’ Administration with rotations in medical psychology, neuropsychology, cardiac rehabilitation, nursing home and pain clinic. I also have training at Tri-City Mental Health Center with rotations in the bipolar treatment day treatment as well as therapy and assessment of children and adults. I have training at the Loma Linda Veterans’ Administration with rotations in the day treatment center and the nursing home and assessment training from Pasadena City College in learning disabilities. My post-doctoral experience was in geriatric assessment and therapy.
